Behind the product
Inclement conditions are a big part of why we love racing and riding in spring and late fall, but only when we’re appropriately equipped. The Spring Fall Aero Gilet balances the needs of weather protection with the risk of overheating during hard efforts—and, of course, our insistence on a race-worthy, WorldTour-proven fit. A weatherproof, 3L softshell leads into the elements (and the rooster tail of road spray from the wheel you’re following in the bunch) while the rear panel plays regulator, keeping breathability and targeted ventilation on-point as exertion increases.

FEATURED FABRICS

The Gilet’s star is our 3-layer, windproof, water-repellent, and breathable 2XS softshell. The inner face is lightly brushed for soft insulation, and the gilet’s back panel of the extremely breathable, moisture-banishing Push Pull textile ensures that insulation never leads to overheating, even during strenuous race efforts.
CONSTRUCTION/FIT

Our aeroFit is even more aggressive than racingFit, so there’s no trade-off between should-season comfort and race-worthy aerodynamics. As with our entire RS line, this gilet is meant for the start line.
ENGINEERING

Double-sided zipper: Allows targeted ventilation by unzipping from top or bottom. Taped construction prevents watery ingress and stabilizer tab enables single-handed operation.
ENGINEERING

Reflective Strip: Reflective strip down center back helps maintain visibility in the low-light conditions that often justify a gilet’s use.
ENGINEERING

Raw Cut: Raw cut hems and armholes remain one of our favorite innovations. They reduce bulk for cleaner layering and less weight, but they also just feel good and look damned clean.
