EYE PROTECTION Skharab

Skharab marks the introduction of a new category in ASSOS Eye Protection, tuned specifically for road and off-road racing. It pulls various design cues from our Zegho eyewear, such as its signature rimless profile, fully adjustable nosepiece, and featherlight feel, yet it’s bred more for speed, protection, and visual clarity in changing terrain and shifting light conditions.

We began the design process by working with athletes across both disciplines, building prototype shapes that worked with a variety of face shapes and helmets. What we came away with is led by its single wraparound lens that promotes an unobstructed field of view in both aggressive road and off-road riding positions. The tapered, airflow-channeling temples lock the top corners of the lens, wrapping back above the ear for a smooth, secure fit. The lens itself is an impact-resistant nylon, selected primarily for its durability and low weight, offered in both a light-adapting photochromic option and a standard version that’s tuned for medium light. Both options provide 100% UV protection, accentuate contrast, and enhance visibility on the road or trail. The Skharab is engineered in Switzerland, handmade in Italy, and comes with a protective hard case and cleaning cloth.

Skharab Lens: The single nylon lens features an aerodynamic low-profile shape, while still retaining our signature rimless platform for unobstructed vision and a superlight feel. 100% UV protection, impact-resistant, and BPA-free.

Pluto Grey: A grey photochromic lens that adapts to changing light conditions for added versatility. Light Transmission: 77% - 17%. Light Conditions: Low Light to Medium Light. Contrast: Neutral. Base lens color: Clear.

Anti-Fog: All the Skharab lenses are equipped with an anti-fog treatment on the back that guarantees clear lenses in all weather conditions.

Temples: Constructed with a wide contact interface where they meet the lens, adding durability to the connection point. The step-down zeroPressure shape mirrors the curvature of your head, and they’re finished with textured, supple elastomer inserts for a light and secure grip.

Nosepiece: The fully adjustable nosepiece is constructed with our grippy clickFace elastomer, which conforms to your nose to provide a custom, secure fit.
